The first Saturday of May I enjoyed a hike with Kathy, Dayton, Madison, Pau, Melody, and Limon to the top of a plateau west of Magdalena.

Choir Trip to San Jose

 Our choir trip took place April 16-17th.

We left Saturday morning at 9:30ish and arrived in San Jose around 3:30 PM.

Half hour down the rode, we had to stop and readjust the packing.

Aboard the 15-passenger van which we named "The Dawn Treader." All the boys, the Beyer girls, and I were the passengers of this van with Keith and Seth. The rest of the girls, Melody, and Alisa rode in the Volkswagen van.

We bought some rope at a hardware store along the highway. Stopped at this gas station, the ladies observe as the men finally get the luggage secure for the rest of the trip.

Checking out our rooms upon arrival. The boys shared the old sanctuary...

...and the girls got the upstairs of the house. Most of us slept on the floor, but both rooms had coolers for which we were grateful.

San Jose is a town of about eight by eight blocks. Here you can see the cornfield at the end of the street. They also grow wheat in this region.

Some of us girls accompanied Melody to the grocery store.

Saturday evening after a service at the church, we went to a lake in Obregon about 30 min. away.

There we enjoyed coconut from a stand. First you drink the coconut water...

...then they prepare it to taste with churros, jicama, peanuts, cucumber, clamato, rielitos, etc.

Sunday morning in the kitchen.

Eggs, beans, and tortillas for breakfast. Mmm!

After breakfast and clean-up, we went over to the church. There was a service and at the end of the service, we (the choir) got up and sang six songs. Here we are singing...

After church, we packed up and headed back to CVE. 

Lots of wonderful memories and many experiences to grow from.

Welcome Home Kendra and Tadeo!

Introducing Alexis...my new preschool student. He is only three years old and comes just a couple hours of the day.

I had to capture this moment of SILENCE in the preschool. :)

I got to help Pau make this decoration for Adam and Jenna Leman's baby shower. The theme was the hungry caterpillar. 

The shower for Baby Leman was a real blessing.

Jesus, Luisa, and I went to visit the animals last Friday.

Last weekend, I watched Endy and Alisha's five children, along with a 6-year-old girl who just arrived. It was a stressful weekend, but I pray that I learned from it and thank God that He got us through. Here they are enjoying Pau's trampoline.

Saturday morning, Juana wanted to wash all the breakfast dishes. Happy moment!

Sunday evening, Gema caused some excitement by getting stuck in a chair. We all shared some laughs and she enjoyed the attention.

Chui is slowly meeting the goal of writing numbers 1-10.

Yesterday, Tadeo and Kendra flew home from Sacramento. The house remodel is still in progress, but has come a long way in the last week and a half. We are thankful for all the HARD work of the guys here to get it as much completed as possible before Kendra's return.

The above are my most recent pictures taken yesterday morning, but by this afternoon they had finished the baseboards, framed the doors and installed the toliet and sink which brings the project very near completion!

Monday night, Adam and Jenna brought over their five kids to help us clean up before Kendra and Tadeo's arrival.
